  • Aspire sharing the success of my short film and sample chapters of my upcoming self help  book - @tonic of the Sea'. My article can be accessed here

Aspire is a national charity that provides practical help to people who have been paralysed by Spinal Cord Injury. A spinal injury can happen to anyone at any time, and no one is prepared for how it will change their life. Aspire exists because there is currently no cure.

Their swimmers raised an incredible £850,000 in 2016 by taking on major swimming challenges, and so they decided to curate a swimming blog and a newsletter that are solely about swimming and, whatever your level of swimming, they hope you will enjoy it and find it inspiring. Link to their swimming blog can be accessed here.

  • I will be on the Nature Cures Panel at this years Wild and Well Festival in Bristol on the 20th - 21st October - I will be discussing Open Water Swimming and its positive impact on mental health - you can book tickets here and see what else there is to explore at this exciting event!

  • A fantastic article about my story in Cornwall Live - sharing my journey of burnout and my recovery through open water wild swimming, the success of my short film 'Tonic of the Sea' in the recent 2018 Film Festivals and the completion of my first self help book also titled Tonic of the Sea. Explained as an inspirational story by Cornwall journalist Tom Gainey with beautiful photography by Cornwall Photo Journalist Greg Martin.

  • A great feature of my story in The Daily News of Open Water Swimming - this is such a great resource to help to better educate, entertain, and enthuse those who wish to venture beyond the shore.  There are over 17,821 articles on solo swims, pro races, relays, charity events, ice swims, eco-swims, stage swims, marathon swims, trends, products, services, personalities, coaches, governing bodies, rules, demographics, books, films, blogs, conferences, camps, clinics and happenings in oceans, seas, lakes, rivers, dams, canals, channels, fjords, estuaries, lochs, coves, firths, straits, bays, and harbours!! It really is an incredible site and so useful to wild swimmers! I recommend you take a look! :)

  • Very excited to hear that my film Tonic of the Sea has just won awards at the 2018 Film Festivals! Also up for nomination for the
NYC film awards, BAFTA short films, Scottish Mental Health Arts Award and the Cinetime Chandler International Films!!
I guess sometimes it’s good to share our struggles in the hope that it can help others to heal and to raise awareness of the dangers of burnout and chronic fatigue so positive for the highlighting of good.

  • It seems the Sunday Times of Malta loves Tonic of the Sea too! So so great to see it spreading so far and wide and highlighting the importance of health and well being in the promotion of mental well being and peace in the mind!
