Green Ocean Gold won 2nd place in the environmental shorts category in the Hawaii International Film Festival!
Directed by Olaf Lawrence and produced by Charlie Walker with @silverstep.films the film discusses important issues regarding plastic pollution in our oceans and the possible utilisation of aquaculture – using seaweed farming as a replacement for single use plastic. There are numerous pros and cons for the use of seaweed farms locally – community engagement being a prominent and vital component alongside aquacultures positive and negative effects on marine life and the health of our already struggling ecosystems.
